I photograph what makes me stop.
Shadows in Light grew from an interest in photographs that feel observed rather than manufactured: people with presence, places with atmosphere and moments that keep some ambiguity.
I am based in Calgary and work across portraiture, landscape, wildlife and concept-driven photography. I do not try to force those interests into one genre. The thread is the same: light, character, place and the feeling that there is more happening than the frame explains.
Commissioned work follows the same approach. The aim is not to reproduce a template with a different person standing in it. It is to find what is specific about the project and build from there.
